Thursday, September 11th
Azusa (1-0) vs Maranatha (2-0)—at Citrus College
The Minutemen might have a bill coming due, but it won’t happen against the Aztecs. Then again, they’re playing the Aztecs who have made a living the last seven years by doing what they shouldn’t do.
Maranatha 24 Azusa 20

Rio Hondo Prep (1-1) at Gabrielino (1-0)
To use a phrase from another time, this should be a dandy. If it were previous Kares teams, I’d dance RHP all the way…But the Eagles have something to prove and want to show everyone they can fill the void in the MVL.

Friday, September 12th
Carpinteria (1-0) at Nipomo (1-1)
The Titans nearly pulled off the upset last week, to stay on track they cannot suffer a let down this week. They’ll struggle early but Albright will make it alright.
Nipomo 28 Carpinteria 22

Santa Paula (1-0) at Templeton (1-1)
Will the real Eagles team please stand up? They’ve taken, they’ve delivered and now they are fairly matched against a solid Santa Paul team. Flip a coin Chief and see what comes up.
Santa Paula 41 Templeton 30

Riverside-Notre Dame (1-1) at Ganesha (2-0)
The Giants have become Cinderella by the way they’ve started the 2014 season…But for Cinderella the clock is about to strike midnight.
Riverside-Notre Dame 35 Ganesha 13

El Segundo (1-0) at Cantwell (1-0)
The Cardinals were not happy after shutting out Western Christian last week, and you know what? They may not be happy after tangling with Segundo standout Lars Nootbaar. The energy absent last week, better be present this week.
El Segundo 28 Cantwell 14

Whittier (1-1) vs Whittier Christian (2-0*)—at Whittier College
The Cardinals have some meat in the trenches, they have a quarterback who delivers the ball, but they are not great. Yes, the Heralds are 0-2* by forfeit, but it doesn’t change what they’ve done on the field. They’ve been reselient, but we don’t think they are going to stop the Cards.
Whittier 33 Whittier Christian 21

Valley Christian (2-0) at Ocean View (1-0)
In regards to the Crusaders: Something’s telling me their time is now…
