Cathedral 35 Harvard-Westlake 28 FINAL – Phantoms survive Harvard-Westlake. Looking good for second in Angelus.   

Salesian 14 La Salle 7 FINAL – The La Salle slide continues. 

St. Francis 49 St. Paul 10 FINAL – Jeremiah Martin throws for 200 yards and three touchdowns and Dylan Crawford has seven receptions for 120 yards and two scores for the Golden Knights. Mason Williams also returns a punt 62 yards for a score. Crawford caught TD strikes of 29 and 30 yards from Martin.

DEL RIO
California 47 Whittier 14 FINAL- Nathan Lowden has 14 carries for 159 yards and four touchdowns. Traie Kastl-givens hauls in four catches for 129 yards and a touchdown and Adam Satti completes 11 of 17 for 224 yards and a score. Cal has a big game with El Rancho next week.  

El Rancho 34 Pioneer 14 FINAL – Andrew Parea completed 16 of 33 for 182 yards and Isiah Araujo caught seven passes for 88 yards and a touchdown for the Dons who have won five straight.   

PACIFIC
Burbank 48 Hoover 7 FINAL – Brandon Alba rushed for 143 yards on just four carries in the first half and Guy Gibbs completed six of 12 for 124 yards and a pair of scores. The Bulldogs keep their playoff hopes alive.   

Crescenta Valley 38 Muir 26 FINAL- Big game for Connor Van Ginkel and Brian Gadsby. The Falcons chew up the last five minutes of the clock in a game sealing drive. (See story).    

Pasadena 21 Glendale 20 FINAL- Glendale leads 14-0 early but lets it get away. The Nitros miss and extra point in overtime and Pasadena takes advantage for the victory. The Bulldogs are still alive in the Pacific.

Downey 56 Gahr 21 FINAL

Paramount 35 Lynwood 23 FINAL – Lynwood loses its third straight league game and falls out of playoff contention. The Pirates are still in the hunt.   

Dominguez 48 Warren 0 FINAL – Dominguez has warmed up in league play. Still unbeaten in league.  

SUBURBAN
Cerritos 29 Glenn 9 FINAL

La Mirada 35 Mayfair 0 FINAL – Sej J Lauago had 16 carries for 127 yards and a score. Christian Lara was 11 for 16 for 174 yards and two TDs. Lara also rushed for 44 yards and a TD. La Mirada controlled the time of possession 31:27 to 16:33. The Matadores rushed for 292 yards overall and averaged 6.5 yards per carry.        

Norwalk 28 Bellflower 20 FINAL- Lancers remain undefeated in league. Have their sights set on November 7 date with La Mirada. (See story).

Colony 27 Chaffey 15 FINAL – Josh Thompson throws for 158 yards on 12-19 and rushes for 60. Colony is 3-0 in league. (See story).

Glendora 38 Claremont 14 FINAL – Matt Fink completes 12-17 for 152 yards and a touchdown. Tartan defense forces two fumbles, blocks two punts and picks off a pass.    

Bonita 28 Diamond Bar 20 FINAL – Diamond Bar has hit the skids. Bearcats still in the mix.    

South Hills 27 Ayala 13 FINAL – South Hills has risen from the dead in the Palomares. Jack Sheehan blocked a punt and Ryan Sheehan returned it 15 yards for a touchdown for the Huskies. Jesse Garcia rushed for 134 yards and three scores.

San Marino 55 La Canada 14 FINAL – Titans bring LC down to earth. Mike Hobbie’s team is solid for number two in the Rio.

Monrovia 32 South Pasadena 6 FINAL – Breaking News! Or not. Cats continue tor roll!  

Temple City 53 Blair 28 – FINAL – Rams rout Blair but it might be too little, too late for post season.

Kaiser 20 Summit 14 OT – FINAL – Joshua Johnson scores on a 16-yard touchdown run to win it in overtime. Johnson had 24 carries for 145 yards.

Western Christian 47 Aquinas 44 FINAL – Sarkis Panossian continues his outstanding season for the Fighting Lancers by rushing for 272 yards and four touchdowns and throwing a 62-yard scoring pass to Cameron Beck. Kevin Oberlander’s squad improves to 2-6, (1-2 in league) on the season. Aquinas falls to 3-4-1.

Arrowhead Christian 53 Ontario Christian 48 FINAL – The Turnbull AC gets its first win against OC in 12 years and Isaac Mowbray does it with a touchdown pass from his brother, Bradley, and a pick six to the house. But its a game saving tackle by Rene Rivera inside five that secures the victory in the final moments. AC is now 3-0 in the Ambassador and 8-0 overall.

Linfield Christian 30 Notre Dame-Riverside 0 FINAL

DE ANZA
Shadow Hills 48 Big Bear 34 FINAL – The Knights led 35-13 at halftime before holding off the Bears in the second half.  Shadow Hills only threw the ball six times but got monster games out of backs Tony Williams and Isaiah Ortega-dage. Williams rushed for 327 yards and five touchdowns while Ortega-dage chipped in with 192 on the ground. The Knights are now 4-0 in league, 6-2 overall, and winners of five in a row. The De Anza has fallen into Shadow.

Twentynine Palms 22 Desert Hot Springs 14 FINAL – The 29ers are led by quarterback Jimmy Shragge’s 211 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He also kicked a 23-yard field goal.

Rancho Mirage  47 Yucca Valley 28 FINAL – Junior Steven Knight rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Marques Prior, a freshman, passed for three touchdowns, rushed for 105 and another score to lead the Rattlers to their first varsity football in in school history.

NORTHERN
Nipomo 36 Mission Prep 0 FINAL – Titans quarterback Matt Albright threw for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win. He also called all of his own plays for the first time in his career. On the season he has passed for 24 touchdowns and 2,378 yards. Defensive back Jimmy Pineo intercepted to Royals passes and returned one 46-yards for a touchdown. Nipomo is now 3-0 in league, 6-3 overall.

Morro Bay 40 Santa Maria 0 FINAL – The Pirates got 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns out of William Unks to improve to 4-5 on the season. Morro Bay is 2-1 in league and in second place. Santa Maria falls to 1-7.

OLYMPIC
Maranatha 42 Heritage Christian 24 FINAL – The Minutemen trailed 17-14 at the break, and by ten in the second half before rallying. Caleb Devine rushes 30 times for 243 yards and five touchdowns.

Whittier Christian 48 Village Christian 37 FINAL – Sophomore Heralds quarterback Joe Hernandez completes 31 of 40 for 402 yards, four touchdowns and one interception to lead his team to their first “official” win of the season (WC won its first two games on the field before surrendering them to forfeit). Noah Evans caught 14 of those passes for 218 yards and a pair of scores. Justin Osborne rushed for 160 yards and Nick Watase 111 yards and two scores. The loss was the Crusaders fourth in a row after starting the season 4-0.

PREP
Pasadena Poly 51 Rio Hondo Prep 12 FINAL (See Story)

Mary Star of the Sea 38 Flintridge Prep 23 FINAL

SOUTH CATHOLIC
Bishop Montgomery 30 Verbum Dei 27 FINAL – Golden Knights quarterback Austin Garbe went 15 of 21 for 237 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Bishop is now 4-4 on the season, the Eagles fall to 3-5.

Cantwell 35 St. Bernard 12 FINAL – The Cardinals raced to a 28-0 halftime lead and were never seriously challenged as they improved to 7-1 on the season. Ja quill Ruffin adds another touchdown on defense for Cantwell.
