Southern California Bowl       (Nov. 21, 2009 at Walnut, CA)

Mt. Sac’s offense was firing on all cylinders in the first round of CCCAA playoffs. In the win, Ahmere Owens (Muir) caught four passes for 172-yards and two touchdowns and had three kick returns for 56-yards. Michael Harrell (Charter Oak) had to catches for 78-yards and a score and Richard Parham (South Hills) had a catch for nine yards.  Jesse Canada (Monrovia) was held in check with two grabs for 14-yards.  Bryce McBride (Los Altos) had 10-yards on three carries and a kick return of 17-yards.

On defense, Kiely Rycraw (Charter Oak) had three tackles as did Austin Daniels (Muir). Arness Ikner (Pasadena) also had three and an interception.

Mt. Sac will now take on 10-1 National Conference Champions Bakersfield November 28, 2009 at home.

Fullerton 49         L.A. Harbor 19              

American Bowl     (Nov. 21, 2009 at Fullerton, CA)  

Fullerton cruised to victory in the first round of the CCCAA playoffs. The defense was led by Alex Valdez (Schurr) with nine tackles and Filipo Tuala (South El Monte) with five tackles and an interception. Joe Morales (South El Monte) had five tackles, Juan Perez (South El Monte) had three and Raul Pintado (Schurr) had two and an interception.

In the next round, Fullerton will take on Southern Conference runner-up Palomar (9-2) at Fullerton November 28, 2009.

Orange County Bowl  (Non-playoff)

Golden West 37    Ventura 36 (OT)     (Nov. 21, 2009 at Orange, CA)

In the overtime victory Tommy Cogburn (South El Monte) had two catches for 10-yards and six tackles on defense.
