(San Diego)—San Diego State kicker Donald Hageman’s 34-yard field goal attempt with 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter went wide right to give Navy a 17-16 victory in the tenth annual Poinsettia Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego on Tuesday night.
In a game that featured very little offense it was the turnovers by both teams that made the difference in this imperfect edition of division one college football.
