3. On this day in 1951, Dumont paid $75,000 to televise the first coast-to-coast football game as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cleveland Browns 24-17 in the NFL Championship game.

4. Los Angeles Clippers drop to 19-9 after being beaten by Sacramento Tuesday night.
