CCCAA SOCAL Championship

 Mt. Sac   27          Palomar 2               (Dec. 5, 2009 at Walnut, CA)

 Mt. Sac remained true to form and showed again why they are the number one ranked Community College team in Southern California.

 In the win, Jesse Canada (Monrovia) led the way receiving with five catches for 101-yards.  Michael Harrell (Charter Oak) had one for 31-yards and Ahmere Owens (Muir) had one for 23-yards and a 30-yard kick return. Bryce McBride (Los Altos) chipped in with five yards on five carries.

 On defense, Arness Ikner (Pasadena)had five tackles and two interceptions. Austin Daniels (Muir) had four tackles and an interception that he returned 21-yards. Deshawn Gaisie (Bishop Amat) had two tackles and Kiely Rycraw (Charter Oak) had an interception he returned 31-yards.

 Interesting to note that on the same day that Mt. Sac makes it into the final, the Alma Maters of Jesse Canada, Michael Harrell and Kiely Rycraw also make it into the finals of their respective leagues.

 Mt. Sac will now travel up north to face San Mateo in the California Community College Athletic Association State Football Championship.  The game will be played on December 12, 2009 at the College of San Mateo.
