1. George Karl will take over as HC of the Sacramento Kings after the All-Star break according to several sources.

2. Oregon HC Mark Helfrich agrees to a five-year contract extension worth $17.5 million.

3. Former Baltimore Ravens running back Jamaal Lewis auctioned a Super Bowl ring he received as a gift from owner Steve Biscotti for $50,820 because he is having money problems.

4. Domestic violence charges against Carolina Panthers’ defensive end Greg Hardy are dropped by Charlotte, N.C. prosecutors because the accuser in the case cannot be found.

5. West Covina 2015 non-league schedule: Colony, St. Francis, South Hills, Tesoro, Santa Fe.

6. Gabrielino, currently 11-0 in the Mission Valley League, has won 24 straight league games dating back to January 30, 2013 at Arroyo.

7. The Seattle Seahawks promote Kris Richard to DC to replace Dan Quinn who took over as HC for the Atlanta Falcons.

8. Diamond Ranch brought back a prominent Southeast Division head coach for a second interview but decided not to hire him advising him “we are going in a different direction.”

9. Kyle Kraska, a San Diego sports anchor at a CBS station, was shot outside of his Scripps Ranch home Tuesday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital and is in serious condition after being rushed into surgery.

10. On this date in 1990 James “Buster” Douglas stuns Mike Tyson knocking him out in the 10th round to win the Heavyweight title.
