The Ten

(“The TEN” is not a top ten but ten items worth being included in “The TEN”)

1. Former Alhambra High School/ Cal State Fullerton pitcher Noe Ramirez is in the Boston Red Sox camp.

2. UCLA loses to Arizona St. 68-66 to fall to 8-6 in the PAC 12.

3. The Lakers are at an all time low in TV ratings dropping to a 1.95 on Time Warner Cable Sports Net. Yet they are still ahead of the Clippers who are at a 1.10 on Prime ticket.

4. La Canada jumps out to a 49-6 lead and blows out South El Monte 69-33 in the first round of the Division 3A playoffs.

5. Tyler Dorsey scores 30 points to lead Maranatha to an 80-33 win over LA Milken in the first round of the Division 4 playoffs.

6. Duke goes on an 11-2 run at the end of regulation to tie it and goes on to beat North Carolina 92-90 in overtime.

7. The Green Bay Packers release tight end Brandon Bostick, who mishandled the onside kick in the loss to Seattle in the NFC Championship game.

8. Former Portland Trailblazer forward Jerome Kersey has passed away at the age of 52. At this time the cause of death is unknown.

9. The NFL scouting combine.

10. The Dodgers and Angels, in a joint promotion for the new season, unveiled a billboard featuring the pictures of NL MVP Clayton Kershaw and AL MVP Mike Trout with the words “Is your MVP red or blue”?
