(Norwalk) – Jesse Ceniceros has left Norwalk to take over as the head coach at Chino it was announced Monday.  Ceniceros had a successful seven year stint as the head coach at Norwalk including a Southeast Finals appearance in 2013.

Ceniceros guided the Lancers to the playoffs in each of his seven seasons, won two Suburban League titles, and had two semi finals appearances in addition to the CIF Finals game which resulted in a 41-38 overtime loss to La Serna. Norwalk went 13-1 that year.

Last year the Lancers finished 7-4 overall and fell to Paramount in the first round of the playoffs.

Chino went 5-5 last year (2-3 in the Hacienda League) and missed the playoffs. Ceniceros cited the school’s proximity to his home and a better opportunity as his reasons for leaving Norwalk.
