(Monrovia) – Serrano scored three in the third inning and that’s all that was needed in a 3-0 win over Monrovia Tuesday.
Serrano had just four hits but that was more than enough as the Wildcats managed just two. Juan Quinonez had a double and Patrick Goebel singled and that was it.
Justin Rosedale started and went two and one-third scoreless innings for Monrovia. He did not allow a hit and struck out two. Brian McConnell came on and went two and two-thirds allowing three hits and three runs (two earned). He also fanned three. Goebel finished up going the last two.
Monrovia fell to 13-3 overall with the loss but the Wildcats are 3-0 in league. They travel to San Marino on Friday.
