The South El Monte Lady Eagles have won four straight MVL Titles

(El Monte) – South El Monte wrapped up its fourth straight Mission Valley League title Tuesday with a 12-2 rout of Arroyo.
The Lady Eagles rapped out 20 hits overall including five doubles and two home runs. Danielle Ruiz got her first start and went two scoreless innings in the circle and also pounded a two run home run in the first inning to get South off and running. Mia Luques came on in the third inning and pitched the last five innings for the win.
Alyssa Diaz and Ashley Diaz led the offensive attack with four hits each. Alyssa had a double and Ashley belted a home run. Jayda Reyes and Brandy Magana added three hits each.
The Lady Eagles will host a first round playoff game May 21.
