KISS’ Losing Streak Hits Eight

By Tim Peterson

(Portland) – Darron Thomas, in his first start of the season, threw for 229 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Portland Thunder to a 63-47 win over the LA KISS Saturday night.

Danny Southwick, who played for the Thunder last year, and was just acquired from the Spokane Shock this week, threw five TDs for the KISS and 312 yards overall but it wasn’t nearly enough.

The KISS was down 35-21 at the half but Portland scored on its first two possessions of the second half to put it away. Donovan “Captain” Morgan was one bright spot hauling in three TD passes for the KISS and had 129 yards receiving.

For the KISS it was their 14th consecutive loss overall dating back to last year.
