1. Former Ohio State/Oakland Raider quarterback Terrelle Pryor has been awarded to Cleveland on waivers and will try to make the Browns as a wide receiver.

2. The Detroit Lions signed former USC/Cincinnati Bengals safety Taylor Mays.

3. “P Diddy’s got a fever and the only prescription… is more kettlebell!” – Charles Robinson, Senior NFL reporter for Yahoo, via Twitter.

4. LA Kings center Jarret Stoll has been charged with one felony count of drug possession, of cocaine, as he faces a July 1 court date in Las Vegas.

5. Former major league outfielder Darryl Hamilton was killed in a murder-suicide in a suburban Houston home. Hamilton was a member of the New York Mets team that reached the World Series in 2000 and played for five teams over a 13-year career before retiring in 2001. Hamilton worked for the MLB Network since 2013.

6. Long time area football coach and former El Monte High School teacher Ted Clarke has accepted a job at Laguna Beach High School as Athletic Director and Interim Head Football Coach.

7. On this date in 1995 the New Jersey Devils wrap up a four game sweep of the Detroit Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup. Never before had a “New Jersey” team won a world championship in any sport until then.

10. Happy Birthday to Argentine soccer superstar Lionel Messi, who is considered by many to be the best player in the world, who turns 28 today.
