1.  The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team wins the Women’s World Cup beating Japan 5-2.

2.  The Lakers have agreed to terms with former Boston Celtic power forward Brandon Bass and agree to a trade with the Indiana Pacers for center Roy Hibbert.

3.  Carli Lloyd gets a first half hat trick in the final of the 2015 Women’s World Cup. The hat trick was the fastest in World Cup History.

4.  Serena Williams beat her sister Venus 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the quarter finals of the 2015 Wimbledon Championships.

5.  Steven Gerrard was introduced to Galaxy fans at halftime of the game against Toronto. Gerrard is scheduled to make his on the field debut Saturday against Club America in the International Champions Cup.

6.  Former Los Angeles Ram defensive end Fred Dryer turns 69 today.

7.  Happy Birthday today to former Temple City Ram and current San Marino assistant Thomas Camerano.

8.  On this day in 1986 Boris Becker degfeated Ivan Lendl 6-4, 6-3, 7-5 to win the 100th Wimbledon Men’s Championship.

9.  Toronto Blue Jay third baseman Josh Donaldson sets a single season record of 14 million votes cast for him for the 2015 MLB All Star Game.
