1.  The Dodger’s Zack Greinke’s scoring streak was snapped at 45 2/3 innings as the Dodgers lost to the Mets 3-2 in extra innings.

2.  Mike Trout hit his 30th (a grand slam) and 31st MLB leading  home runs Sunday in the Angels 13-7 rout of Texas.

3.  The MLS All-Star game will be held Wednesday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. The L.A. Galaxy will be represented by Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard and Omar Gonzales.

4.  David Ortiz hit two home runs and drove in a career high seven runs in the Red Sox 11-1 blow out of Detroit.

5.  Greg LeMond becomes the first American to win the Tour de France on this day in 1986

6.  Back to back Big Ten offensive player of the year in 2012 and 2013 Braxton Miller has bowed out of the quarteback competition and will focus on playing wide receiver for Ohio State in 2015.

7.  Mexico beat Jamaica 3-1 to win their seventh CONCACAF Gold Cup title.

8.  On this day in 1996 a bomb exploded in Atlanta’s Olympic Park killing one and injuring 110.

9.  Monrovia wins both the 7 on 7 passing and lineman tournament Saturday in Lancaster.
