1.  Robbie Keane scored twice on Saturday to lift the Galaxy past FC Dallas 2-1. The goals give Keane 13 for the season putting him at the #4 in the MLS for 2015. The win also put the Galaxy atop the Western Conference with 43 points.

2.  Zack Greinke pitched seven innings striking out eight batters and hit the game winning home run for his 13th win in the Dodgers 2-1 win over the Reds.

3.  Former APU running back Terrell Watson had seven carries for 52-yards, including a 26-yard run in his debut with the Cincinnati Bengals.

4.  Phillip Rivers has agreed to a contract extension with the San Diego Chargers for a reported $84 million for four years with $65 million guaranteed.

5.  Jason Day wins the PGA Championship in record fashion breaking Tiger Wood’s record of most strokes under par at a major championship shooting 20 under.

6.  Happy Birthday to Mid Valley senior wordsmith Tim Peterson who shares a birthday with former Duke Blue Devil Christian Laettner.

7.  Tim Tebow was six of 12 passing and rushed for a seven yard touchdown in his debut for the Philadelphia Eagles.

8.  On this day in 1973 Willie Mays hit his 660th and last home run off Don Gullett of Cincinnati.

9.  Artesia at Pioneer and Jurupa Hills at Gladstone (at Citrus College) kick off the 2015 football season a week from Thursday night.
