Mid Valley Division Top Ten: 09/01/2015

Pomona drops after a less than eye opening performance against Oak Hills moving everyone up with the exception of Arroyo and Rosemead. Arroyo gets bumped in favor of San Dimas who open the season Friday. Its early to fluidity is the key word in the Mid Valley.1. Sierra Canyon (1-0 0-0) – Junior Dylan Tait looks like an emerging playmaker for the Trailblazers.
2. Paraclete (0-1, 0-0) – A 40-12 loss to a perennial powerhouse in Serrano not enough to knock the Spirits down just yet.
3. Northview (1-0, 0-0) – Grijalva and Hooper combine for 238 yards and four scores. Line play looked better than expected.
4. Covina (0-0, 0-0) – Open the season Friday night against La Puente. The Colts shouldn’t get too much resistance Friday night in the season opener.
5. Viewpoint (1-0, 0-0) – Chulak accounts for four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing in the road victory at Morro Bay.
6. Montebello (1-0, 0-0) – Andy Brown averaged 25 yards a catch and Mendibles had 399 all-purpose yards for the Oilers against El Monte.
7. Bell Gardens (1-0, -0) – Noah Quintero and the Lancers ran wild over what was supposed to be an improved Arcadia squad.
8. Pomona (0-1, 0-0) – 31-13 loss to Oak Hills in the opener doesn’t look too good. Word on the street is Lockett didn’t see the ball very often
9. San Dimas (0-0, 0-0) – It’s not often a team outside the top ten makes it when not playing a game but Arroyo’s less than stellar performance against San Marino made it happen for the Saints.
10. Rosemead (0-1, 0-0) – Mid Valley senior wordsmith Tim Peterson came away impressed the Panthers even though they lost.
