Northwest Division Top Ten 9/1/2015

Not listed in the Top Ten is Rio Hondo Prep. Don’t write the Kares off because of last year; the roster is up to 28 and there is some girth for a change. Worried a little bit about Shadow Hills, anxious to see how Maranatha does moving forward, and really like Nipomo again. Heritage Christian is supposed to be up…but it has to happen on the field. Been hearing about a Heritage Christian uprising since the days it was called L.A. Baptist.

.) Nipomo (1-0, 0-0): New HC Tony Dodge got off to a nice start last week. What makes the Titans so good? Take a look at their offensive line.

.) Linfield Christian (1-0, 0-0): Lorenzo Burns is electric. The offensive line is huge. Should be a big season for the Lions.

.) Shadow Hills (0-1,0-0): Going to cut some slack this week, but the Knights are going to need do more than just give the ball to Tony Williams Jr.

.) Templeton (1-0, 0-0): This is a good team. How good? We’ll find out real soon.

.) Arrowhead Christian (1-0, 0-0): The AC still turning on the Mowbray’s to get W’s.

.) Maranatha (1-0, 0-0): New faces in new places but time will tell…time will tell.

.) Mission Prep (0-0, 0-0): If there is a team set to take off, it’s the Royals. Quarterback Bryce Fledderman is a year older and a year better.

.) Flintridge Prep (1-0, 0-0): Best quarterback nobody knows about? Andrew Tsangeos. Rebels will rise and fall on this guy.

.) Pasadena Poly (1-0, 0-0): The Tigers win. That’s what they do. However, they are not very good at posting stats. So it’s hard to promote their play.

.) Cantwell: (0-0, 0-0): The Cardinals kick off the season this week. They may be down a few of the home run hitters from last year, but the offensive line is solid. They’ll own the South Catholic.
