1. Jovon Robinson runs for 126 yards and a touchdown to lead Auburn to a 31-10 win over Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl.

2. Rafael Gaglianone kicks a 29-yar field goal with 2:27 left in the fourth and Wisconsin goes on to beat USC 23-21 in the Holiday Bowl. The Trojans finish the season at 8-6 overall.

3. The Dodgers sign left-hander Scott Kazmir to a three-year, $48 million deal.

4. Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan will join Cornelius Greene (Ohio St. 1974′- ’76) and Michigan’s Rick Leach (1977-’79) as the third QB in college football history to start in three Rose Bowls.

5. The Lakers beat the Celtics 112-104 in Kobe Bryant’s last game in Boston. Bryant scores 15 points and grabs 11 rebounds.

6. Dak Prescott throws for 380 yards and four touchdowns to lead Mississippi to 51-28 win over North Carolina St. in the Belk Bowl.

7. The Clippers beat the Hornets 122-117 as Chris Paul records his 349th career points/assists double-double, most among all active players in the NBA.

8. “Tennessee Titan fans that say they don’t want or need Chip Kelly are an amazing kind of delusional.”- Colin Cowherd.

9. On this day in 1974 the New York Yankees sign Jim “Catfish” Hunter to a then record five-year $3.75 million deal.

10. On this day in 1972 Roberto Clemente dies in a plane crash at the age of 38. The Pittsburgh Pirates star had exactly 3000 hits at the time of his death.
