4. Two-time Super Bowl winning Raider head coach Tom Flores and Minnesota Viking running back Adrian Peterson share a birthday today. Flores 79 and Peterson 31.

5. With their 2-1 over the Boston Bruins Saturday night the Kings have clinched a spot in the NHL playoffs.

6. Steve Alford returns the one year extension he sigened for the 2020-21 season after a 15-17 season and a tenth place finish in the Pac-12.

7. It’s only spring training by the Phillies’ Maikel Franco has hit seven home runs and driven in 17 runs in 18 games.

8. On this day in 1964 UCLA beat Duke 98-83 to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship and complete and undefeated season (30-0).
