(Monrovia) – Monrovia has named Jerry Chou head coach Athletic Director Randy Bell confirmed Thursday.
Chou, who will also teach at Monrovia, is a long time area coach who led Eagle Rock to two LA City Section championships during his run as head coach from 2002-2009. Chou is also a long time track coach with several league championships to his credit.
Chou’s most recent stop was Montebello where he was an assistant for the last six years. Long time area assistant Michael McKay will join Chou’s staff as Offensive Coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Chou is a native of New Jersey where he walked and played football at Rutgers University.
Chou takes over for Chris Stevens who stepped down after two years at Monrovia to take the head coaching job at Chino Hills.
“The Wildcat community is very excited to welcome Coach Chou”, Bell said.
