1. Legendary baseball announcer Joe Garagiola passes away at the age of 90.

2. Alex Rodriguez announces he will retire after the 2017 season.

3. Kentucky head coach Johan Calipari says that every Kentucky player eligible to declare will submit their names for the NBA draft.

4. Ken Howard, who played Coach Ken Reeves on the CBS drama “The White Shadow” in the 1970s, passed away at the age of 71.

5. The Los Angeles Rams will appear on this year’s edition of HBO’s Hard Knocks.

6. The NBA announces that the All-Star game will be played at Staples Center in 2018.

7. Bonita is off to a 7-0 start and has outscored its last two opponents (Glendora, San Dimas) 21-2.

8. Rosemead’s Dominic Rangel is hitting .458 with five runs scored in his first seven games. The Panthers are 5-2 and in first place in the MVL.

9. Happy Birthday to Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh who turns 32 today.
