Eric MacIntyre is the new HC at El Monte

(El Monte) – Eric MacIntyre was announced as the new head coach at El Monte Thursday Principal Robin Torres confirmed via Twitter.
“Congratulations Eric MacIntyre, our newest addition to Lion Country. We are excited to see you on the sideline for #FridayNightLights,” Torres posted on Twitter Thursday.
MacIntyre spent the last three years as the head coach at Workman where he compiled a record of 7-23. Last year the Lobos went 3-7 (2-3 in the Montview League).
MacIntyre takes over for Joel Sanchez who stepped down earlier this year after 13 seasons. The Lions went 5-6 overall last year (3-3 in the MVL) and fell in the first round of the playoffs to Mid Valley Division Champion Sierra Canyon.
