Rosemead Walks off on Marshall

(Rosemead) – With two outs and the bases juiced in the bottom of the seventh, Dominic Rangel belted a walkoff single to centerfield, scoring Niko Higareda to give Rosemead an 11-10 win over Marshall Wednesday in Mission Valley League action. 

Angel Lopez in three innings of relief allowed one run and two hits to earn the win. Lopez also went three for four at the plate with 3 RBI. Lopez was also one of four Panthers that scored two runs in the game, including Higareda, Gabriel Lazcano, and Joshua Chaidez.

Chaidez also had a strong showing offensively (2 for 3, two RBI, two runs scored and three stolen bases).

With the win the Panthers improved to 6-3 in the MVL and remained in first place. Marshall is 2-4 in league.
