I’m saying plainly that a kid might get a D-1 offer that pays for only a portion of his total school costs, and that in all cases, a D-1 scholarship can be taken away by the sponsoring college when the kid is revealed as substandard. The ‘all expenses paid’ scholarship is as rare as the perfect marriage. Even the private High Schools have a graduated scale of money assistance that depends on the talent of the jock in question. If these facts make me a hater, make the most of it.

Let’s get a couple of things straight gentlemen. Avila State and Langston University are not NCAA D1 schools. They are NAIA football programs. Additionally, Idaho State is D1 FCS and not D1 FBS (the difference is based on stadium attendance aka. school size).

Lastly, 99% of schools lose. Therefore winning cannot be the only job of a high school coach. If it were, then 99% of the coaches have failed at their jobs. So knocking a coach for not “winning it all” while he is getting kids into college is absurd. If you were a parent who got your kid a full/partial scholarship into college, would you care about his high school win-lose record? If so, then child protective services needs to be at your doorstep. Congratulations on these young men and their achievements and congratulations on Coach White for facilitating those accomplishments. The legacy of his work will not be measured by the games he won by rather by the lives he has changed.

white and his self hype machine tried to get back to the SGV to Monrovia but I guess they went with an assistant at Montbello over the self appointed “God of Transfers”. He told his staff to look for other jobs if they were from the OC because he was planning on resigning. Guess that didn’t work out as planned. He’s tired of being beaten by better coaches.

    You said:

“White at BP and Moschetti at LM are promoters who sell the sizzle and let the kids discover later that the steak isn’t big enough to be shared among all the hopeful players. The number of true free-ride D-1 scholarships is not large enough to absorb all the second-tier competitors from places like LH, BP and LM.”

Does that mean you think this article is inaccurate and the players listed above don’t have real full ride offers from those D1 schools? Does that also mean that White’s former players that got out to Cal, Utah, San Jose State, Texas El Paso and Colorado aren’t really there? Come on. Quit hating.

I love the fact that Coach White is getting kids out to the next level. That have transformed that team and have energized the community.

However, until they beat La Habra no one will take them seriously.

No it isn’t true. Couple reasons why.
    1. They both despise each other for their recruiting practices. Lol
    2. Honor among thieves
    3. Cathedral will never schedule at tough non league game.
On another note this leaked list has Cathedral in division 3 they should be in division 2 but they will get that legal team ready and fight to get placed in division 4 citing our rival Saleasian is division 4 so we’d like to be placed with them. If Charter Oak Buena Park St Francis La Serna are all division 2 then the mighty Cathedral should be division 2 especially if you read the recruiting guru over there social media they got D1 athletes all over the place again and the number 1 Frosh class again and the best QB in the nation yes again. Lucky to be in D3 main consider that a gift phantoms almost guaranteed a semis run every year. You luck out again!

Any truth to the rumors Buena Park and Cathedral just signed home and home ? Talk about explosion we might see 150 points in that game!!!!! Hope it’s true

Let this be a lesson to all those insecure head coaches out there… Hire the two best Coordinators you can find and let them do what you hired them to do. Great things will happen. Too many head coaches will only hire guys that will allow them to be the smartest guy in the room and no one to challenge that. The hypocrisy… We preach competition to our kids but dare anyone question something the head man says and send him packing. Jude can draw up plays against anyone in California White has the positive energy you just wanna be aroun it fits and it fits well! Great things are coming for BP

It appears the guy is doing his job. Give him some credit.

In today’s landscape of high school athletics, its very rare to get it all right after a couple seasons. A good coach, staff, kids, administration and community will help good things continue to happen….and the “W” over La Habra will come in due time.

Not saying La Habra and San Clemente were easy games what so ever. But I know LH for sure doesn’t have this many guys getting these kind of looks from huge schools. They have a couple but not nearly as many as this list!! Time to take that last step for these coaches!

La Habra is not the best program in North OC. As good as LH is they barely beat Los Al this year and they would get crushed by Servite. Just because Servite can’t get it done in the Trinity League doesn’t mean they wouldn’t hammer LH. Not to mention Orange Lu is also in North OC. Keep telling yourself lies about how good LH is to make you feel better about your program. White can recruit. In fact I heard it’s something like 15 of his 22 starters will be transfers this year. Great job BP you just moved into D2. Good luck! Why not hire guys who can coach and maybe you can beat LH or start recruiting linemen. I hate reading this BS just like I hate reading about it with La Mirada. Go back and tell me how many kids actually signed D1 letters.

I guess there is no excuses no not to win. Just hire a DC that knows defense is all.

Actually, they do win. Under 6 seasons with Coach White they have gone 49-17 with trips to the CIF Semi-Finals the past two seasons. La Habra, San Clemente and Edison were their only losses last year. San Clemente and La Habra played in the finals.

True they haven’t knocked off La Habra yet. But La Habra is the best football program in North Orange County.

Plus, not only is Buena Park winning on the field, the success of the football program has transformed that school and the community.
