Kemp is Kept!

Good Evening!

T-Minus-247 Days until “The Mid Valley Classic”

The game of the week is Rosemead at Arroyo…The Lady Panthers and the Lady Knights are both 2-0 in the Mission Valley…and yes, this Friday the contest between them will determine the Fate of the World.

Don’t know how Blue State feels about it, but I feel pretty good about the Dodgers giving Matt Kemp some dough…especially with all of their domestic ills.

Late tomorrow after noon the MVL’s all decade team will be posted for football.

How did we use to say it? Kevin Durant is balling these days.

If lost to an NFL coma for the last 30 years tonight would have blown you away. The team from Baltimore lost to the Colts. I know there is an entire generation that doesn’t grasp this but it is still weird to me.

If given the choice I would always want to play quarterback in the NFL, but if I was told I could play in the NFL and couldn’t play quarterback…I would want to play safety, and I would want to play safety like Ed Reed.

Tim Tebow rocks!

…Kurt Warner was absolutely rocked.

…And Reggie Bush performed like a rock star today.

It’s happened. I’ve reached the unthinkable and most unimaginable moment of my life as a sports fan. I’m rooting for the Dallas Cowboys to win the NFC.

Sometimes, rarely, do we receive pleasure in the misery of others but when the Jets beat the Chargers tomorrow I am going to be smiling.

The Mid Valley Draft is coming. Staff and loyal readers are taking NFL teams and on draft day/night they will select area players out of the Southeast and Mid-Valley divisions. Think terms of someone picking for the Colts drafting Adam Muema out of Charter Oak because they need a running back. (Get it?) Sign up here and be part of this unique exercise.

So far we have;

Joe Torosian: St. Louis Rams

Martin “Knight” Lopez: Green Bay Packers

Blue State: Cleveland Browns

Arroyo Knight: New Orleans Saints

Bonita Alum: San Diego Chargers

Andy Villanueva: Cincinnati Bengals

Josh O: Tennessee Titans

Tim Peterson: Washington Redskins

Stay thirsty my friends…
