Montebello QB Ryan Rivera Commits to Finlandia (Michigan)

(Montebello) – Montebello quarterback Ryan Rivera has committed to Finlandia University assistant coach Pete Gonzalez Jr. confirmed Wednesday. 

Rivera guided the Oilers to an Almont League title last year with a 5-0 record. Montebello went 9-2 overall and fell in the first round of the playoffs to Viewpoint. Rivera, at the controls the entire way, threw for 1,972 yards and 22 touchdowns and also showed off his mobility with 528 yards rushing and five touchdowns.

Finlandia, a Division 3 school in Hancock, Michigan, opens the season September 3 against Concordia (Wisconsin).
