(San Gabriel) -Gabrielino WR/ATH Rikiya Satoh has committed to Cal Lutheran University his father Tomoya Satoh confirmed Wednesday.
Satoh was a three-year starter playing not only receiver but also running back, tight end, safety, cornerback, and even quarterback.
Last year he had 36 carries for 180 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 17 passes for 239 yards and five scores. Defensively he had 24 solo tackles (55 total), eight pass deflections and a forced fumble.
Satoh will play receiver at Cal Lu and at 6-1, 180lbs and with 11.5 sec 100M track speed he should make an impact immediately.
Satoh will join former Gabrielino quarterback Elijah Peters, who got some playing time last season at Cal Lutheran as a freshman. Northview running back Andres Hooper also committed to Cal Lu earlier this week.
