1. American gymnast Simone Biles wins the gold medal in the floor exercise and finishes the 2016 games with four golds and one bronze.

2. Former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian will work college football for Fox Sports 1 this fall and says he is open to resuming a coaching career.

3. Chase Utley belts two home runs including a grand slam in his return to Philadelphia as the Dodgers rout the Phillies 15-5.

4. Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is suspended four games for testing positive for marijuana.

5. UCLA Freshman linebacker Mique Juarez from North Torrance missed five consecutive practices going back to last Friday. Head Coach Jim Mora said Juarez’ had an excused absence for Friday and Saturday.
