1. South El Monte running back Sal Tovar set a school record by rushing for 312 yards in the Eagles 40-7 win over Gladstone last Friday night.

2. The Philadelphia Soul beat the Arizona Rattlers 56-42 last Friday night to win Arena Bowl XXIX.

3. “Now that was High School Football. Everyone needs to get a taste of that atmosphere.” -San Dimas assistant Brian Tabatabai on the Smudgepot last Friday night at Citrus College.

4. LSU vs. Wisconsin at Lambeau Field Saturday September 3, 12:30 p.m. on ABC.

5. USC linebacker Osa Masina is under criminal investigation in two states – California and Utah. USC HC Clay Helton announced Monday that Masina had been suspended for the Alabama game Saturday for violation of team rules.

6. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a dislocated knee and a torn ACL Tuesday in a non contact drill.

7. LA Galaxy mid center Jelle van Damme reported on Twitter that he is out two to three weeks with a sprained left medial collateral ligament and Goal.com reported that forward Gyasi Zardes has a broken right foot that will sideline him for the rest of the year.

8. St. Francis at West Covina Friday night, 7:00 p.m.

9. The Denver Broncos name Trevor Siemian starting quarterback.

10. The San Diego Chargers signed defensive end Joey Bosa to a four-year contract. Bosa was the number three overall pick in the draft.
