Alhambra Trounces TC

(Alhambra) – Alhambra racked up 375 yards on the ground and 417 total in a 34-8 rout of Temple City Friday night at Moor Field.

Salman Gurung led the way with 145 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns and Dominic Wilson added 99 yards and a score. Wilson ran 40 yards for a touchdown on a fake punt in the third quarter. Gurung’s third quarter TD scamper was good for 50 yards in the fourth quarter.

For Temple City quarterback Justin Bowman was 11 of 21 for 116 yards with no interceptions. He rushed 32 yards for a score and then connected with Rudy Barragan for a two point conversion to cut the Moors’ lead to 14-8 just before halftime.

Alhambra forced Bowman into three lost fumbles, two of which led to Moor scores in the third quarter which increased Alhambra’s led to 27-8.

Alhambra improved to 1-2 with the win while the Rams dropped to 0-3.
