@D1 Fan – I hope the “Ghost” win by 30 against the “Fighters” (SP). St. Francis showed me a lot by beating BP. The Angelus leauge will be tough this year. I’m telling you now, Cathedral & St. Francis better not overlook Salesian.

@D1 fan, I agree with you on Cathedral over St. Paul by a lot, but I think the St. Francis vs La Salle game could get interesting although I pick SF to win… As for Charter Oak, If they did not lose their QB for the season I would put them right there with Cathedral and Sierra Canyon, who I think are a toss up at this point in the season. This would have been a special team even for Charter Oak. The qb they lost was pretty special, saw him against Glendora, Great arm, accuracy and composure, plus great running skills, plus he had pocket presence in the backfield, he knew how to move, and could sense whenever the d-line was closing in, he was the reason CO could beat Glendora 43 to 0, and put up a 63 to 10 win on a Colony team that took La Habra in to overtime. Without him CO is still good but He was a difference maker. As for Cathedral being bigger and faster, CO can nullify that with their defensive schemes, so don’t take them lightly if you meet in the playoffs.

That’s the way I have it Dan. I have seen Charter Oak and The Phantoms are too big and Fast for them . St Francis is also too big and well coached for them. Sierra Canyon must be very good. La Mirada is still the Champ until someone knock’s them off. Cathedral by 30 over St. Paul. The same for St. Francis over La Salle.

Polls are dumb .. The only polls that matter are the standings at the end of the season.

Wrong wrong wrong. Los Altos, San Dimas and La Serna beat the snot out of BP. A wise man once told me if you can’t run the ball you are not going to win the important games and BP can’t run the ball. AW needs to go recruit more linemen.

Thanks for the move to 11. We should breeze through league. We would love to have a shot of playing St Francis in the playoffs, it could happen and we could knock them out again!

It looks like the Golden Knights aren’t missing high-mileage Miles Bryant very much, as the Bonds kid is tougher and has a built-in rapport with the coach. The team that impresses me most is Los Altos, as Ziola just continues to coach lights-out. Finally, the team that has been the biggest disappointment thus far is Arroyo, while Montebello doesn’t belong on this lineup…you may as well throw St. Paul on there instead (they beat the Oilers).
From MVS Staff: Actually St. Paul isn’t one of our “50” area coverage teams.
