Lou Farrar captures victory number 300

(Chino) – Matthew Takata threw for 409 yards and three touchdowns to lead Charter Oak to a 45-21 rout of Chino Friday night in Hacienda League action.

For Head Coach Lou Farrar, it marked the 300th victory of his career.

Takata, who transferred in from Santa Fe, is the third quarterback the Chargers have used this year. Bret Clemetson started the season but went down with a broken collarbone. Zack Niccoli then took over and has been behind center since. Friday night Takata came on and lit up the night.

Willie Morris had over 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns for Chino but it wasn’t nearly enough. Chino fell to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in league.

The Chargers remain undefeated at 7-0 and 2-0 in the Hacienda on a night that will go down in history for one Lou Farrar.
