The San Antonio League 2002-2009

There were always hurdles to jump in the San Antonio League

Did CIF know they were putting together something close to a super-league in 2002? Did Nogales know what it was getting into? Does anyone mourn the passing of a league?

Of course the San Antonio belonged to South Hills, three of the remaining four schools made some nice runs. All told there were six title appearances and four championships.

Nice league, now on the scrap heap with SH banished and Nogales living in the Valle Vista.

Do people remember old leagues? I don’t know, does anyone remember the Whitmont?

Here is a very simple break down of the last nine seasons in the San Antonio.

Overall Records

South Hills:  80-26-0

West Covina:  57-48-1

Rowland:  51-37-0

Walnut:  47-41-0

Nogales:  15-65-0

Note: The Huskies overall is terrific considering their non-league schedule includes some of the toughest programs around.
