(Santa Ana) – Santa Ana led 15-0 at the half and went on to beat Alhambra 32-8 Thursday night in the first round of the CIF Division 13 playoffs.
Jorge Briseno rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns for Santa Ana and Damian Macias threw for 136 yards. Santa Ana had 402 total yards including 226 on the ground.
For Alhambra Salman Gurung rushed for 110 yards on 11 carries and Lu-Ring Paialii had eight carries for 81 yards and a touchdown. The Moors rushed for 197 yards overall.
Alhambra finished 5-6 overall while Santa Ana improved to 11-0 and advances to the second round.
