(Burbank) – Nick Warren scored two touchdowns and Guy Gibbs threw for 144 yards and a score to lead Burbank to a 44-14 rout of Don Lugo Friday night in the CIF Division 8 semi finals.
Warren had 83 yards on 19 carries overall while Gibbs hit Drew Pendleton with a 28-yard touchdown strike in the first quartet to get the Bulldogs started.
The Burbank defense was also instrumental in the win forcing Don Lugo into six turnovers including five consecutive Don Lugo possessions in the first half.
Next week Burbank will play Yorba Linda in their first ever CIF Finals appearance. Dates and time to be announced.
