(Diamond Bar) – Marcus Hughes has resigned as the head coach at Diamond Bar after three seasons according to Michelle Gardner at the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
Hughes, who took over for Ryan Maine after the 2013 season, went 11-19 overall and 1-14 in Palomares League play. The Brahmas finished 4-6 (1-4 in league) this past season. Hughes wants to coach at the college level and has accepted a job as the running backs coach at Saddleback Community College, but he will remain as a teacher at Diamond Bar.
Diamond Bar will begin the search for a head coach immediately.
To be honest, I may be from Arcadia High School, but I do have tremendous respect fro Diamond Bar as I do at least know 2 friends from Diamond Bar although they are not in the football team.
I heard about Roddy Layton being achieved in Diamond Ranch although no longer head coach, but he has seemed to have grown up in Diamond Bar from link and would seem like a good hire. and Mil’Von James could also bring student recruits to make Diamond Bar great again. I know this is late, but do/would anyone know if Mil’Von James or Roddy Layton could be possible hires?
Coach O is not getting the BP job.
O is not taking BP job.
Coach O already has a job (or two), he’s a teacher and the interim head coach (soon to be permanent) at Buena Park.
I can’t get enough of hearing this name…in fact, I have Jude Oliva Wallpaper in every room of my house. In a perfect world, this man would be allowed to coach ten or more teams simultaneously as a nod to his true believers.
For crying out loud will somebody please offer this Oliva guy a deal so we don’t have to hear his name EVERY time a job opens up.
Lol
