1. The Warriors come back from a 25 point deficit behind 40 from Steph Curry and 34 from Kevin Durant and beat the Spurs 113-111 in he first game of the Western Conference finals.

2. The APU Cougar baseball team finished the regular season 40-10 and will host the NCAA DII West Regional beginning Thursday May 18.

3. The Ducks beat the Predators 5-3 Sunday night to even the Conference Finals series at 1-1.

4. Romain Allesandrini scored twice and Giovani dos Santos added a penalty goal as the Galaxy beat the New York Red Bulls 3-1.

5. Eddie Lacy earned a $55,000 contract bonus for being under (by two pounds) a weight clause in his contract. Lacy weighed in at a nimble 253 pounds.

6. Former Kansas City Royal George Brett (64) and former Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith (48) share a birthday today.

7. Maranatha and Temple City will square off in the first round of the CIF Divison IV Friday at 3:15.

8. On this day in 1941 Joe DiMaggio starts his 56 game hitting streak.

9. Montebello will travel to Cal High tomorrow at 3:15 pm for the play-in game of the CIF Divsion III playoffs.
