Bulldogs Fall in Final

(Anaheim) – Pasadena’s post season run was ended by Eisenhower 52-43 Saturday in the CIF Division 2A Final at Honda Center. The Bulldogs were even at 13 after one quarter and still trailed by just three, 22-19, at the half. But Eisenhower pulled away in the fourth to win its second consecutive 2A title.

Todd Lewis Jr. was the only Pasadena player in double figures with 21 including all 11 of Pasadena’s points in the fourth quarter. George Toyama finished with 9.

Pasadena shot less than 30 percent from the field and turned the ball over 16 times in the loss. The Bulldogs finished the season at 24-7 overall.

For Eisenhower Alex Varner led the way with 17 points. The Eagles capped the season with a record of 28-5.

Next up for both teams is the State Tournament which begins Tuesday.
