1. Former Norwalk Lancer Rashaad Penny rushed for 234 yards and three touchdowns in San Diego State’s win over San Jose State. After 10 games Penny has rushed for 1,602 yards and 15 touchdowns. The 1602 yards puts Penny atop the FBS list for rushing yards.

2. NFL announced that it will not suspend AJ Green for his involvement in a fight Sunday with Jacksonville’s Jalen Ramsey.

3. Oklahoma Sooner Baker Mayfield throws for 598 yards and five td’s in Saturday’s win over Oklahoma State.

4. After starting the season 4-0, the LA Clippers have lost four of their last five and are now 5-4.

5. The father and inventor of basketball James Naismith was born on this day in 1861. Naismith shares his birthday with former Laker Lamar Odom and the late Pat Tillman.

6. The USC Trojan men’s basketball team will kick of the 2017-18 season Friday night hosting Cal State Fullerton.

7. If Arroyo and Rancho Mirage both win, they will have a rematch of last year’s CIF Final contest in the second round of the Division 11 playoffs.

8. On this day in 1974 the Dodgers Mike Marshall becomes the first relief pitcher to win the Cy Young Award.

9. The APU Cougars will host #15 Colorado Mesa Saturday for Salute To Heroes night to finish off the 2017 season.
