Baseball’s Back! Norwalk Splits With South

Norwalk crossed the plate 12 times in the two games but only came away with one win.

(South El Monte) – High School baseball opened Saturday in various cities across the CIF Southern Section. In South El Monte Norwalk and South El Monte split a double header. The Lancers beat the Eagles 6-2 in the first game but South rallied from a 5-0 deficit to win the nightcap 7-6.

The Lancers led 5-0 in the fourth inning of the second game but South El Monte battled back to get three in the bottom of the fourth and then three in the bottom of the seventh to pull it out.

The pitching was solid for Norwalk in the opener, but struggled in the second game.
