Baseball’s Back! Norwalk Splits With South
By Tim Peterson (South El Monte) – High School baseball opened Saturday in various cities across the CIF Southern Section. In South El Monte Norwalk and South El Monte split a double header. The Lancers beat the Eagles 6-2 in the first game but South rallied from a 5-0 deficit to win the nightcap 7-6.

By Tim Peterson The Lions remained in sole possession of first place with an eight inning win over second place South El Monte. Arroyo tried to keep pace but fell down four runs early to Gabrielino in an eventual 5-4 loss.
