  1. The 2018 NFL Draft will be held for the first time ever in an NFL stadium on Thursday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.
  2. The APU men’s baseball team lost three in a row to CBU this past weekend. It was the first time all year that they lost more than one game in a series. They remain at 34-6 on the season.
  3. San Francisco Giant Brandon Belt set an MLB record in a 21-pitch at bat against the Angels.
  4. Monrovia senior Josh Delgado is 6-1 in eight starts with 40 strike outs.
  5. Laker legend Jerry West dropped 53 points on the Cincinnati Royals on this day in 1969.
  6. Bassett’s Christian Trujillo is currently 17th in the CIF Southern Section hitting .568 in 47 plate appearances.
  7. The South El Monte Lady Eagles are 15-1 so far in 2018 and sit atop the Mission Valley League.
  8. On this day in 1939 the Boston Red Sox’ Ted Williams hit his first major league home run and in 1954. Hank Aaron hit his first of 755.
  9. The New Orleans Pelicans swept the Portland Trailblazers out of the NBA Playoffs with a  131-123 win Saturday night.
