Your point? It’s fairly obvious you’re a Schurr clown or something very close. Reveal who you root for..Everyone knows we’re extremely young and inexperienced. Get over yourself. Cal drop 63 on you last night. …
But you lost to a horrible city team! A CITY TEAM THAT’S BAD!!! Wow
The entire Hacienda took a big sigh of relief. I wouldn’ count CO out entirely, but didn’t see any obvious strengths apart from some fairly good line play. Div 3 may be too tough for this group.
El Monte backs are that good! Team that good!
Yes, Cal is mediocre. That’s because Trudell is mediocre. Far as I can tell, there are no more transfer-scandalized teams for the Condors to whale on, so it’s important for Cal fans to cling to the memory of last night, when their team seemed to be great.
Well said @Colt74
Is the El Monte back that good or is BP that bad? 310 yards 5 tds? I guess we’ll wait and see. SEM must rebound from this loss. I can’t remember the last time we were shut out in a game. The coaches must fix mistakes and be ready for Covina. They absolutely must be competitive in that game! Chalk it up to whatever you want first game jitters or youth, whatever you want. But, these Eagles pride will be on the line vs Covina. So will the coaching abilities as well!!!
We’re young and not seasoned at all. It happens. I’ve never once said we were a great team. We will take our licks and just battle every week. Hopefully we can find something and make it happen. Growing pains is in order….
How on earth did you guys get beat by Garfield? Hahahaha! Way to funny lol
As I said I picked the close to home ER-Northview matchup to attend. Out come was as I predicted. My first take is, is ER that bad or is North that good? Both. Northview very good in the skill spots. Quick backs and wideouts complemented by a big bruising inside runner. A team like Northview can lean on ER until they topple. They can with no fear go fourth and long and make it 75% of the time. ER has no such luxury. QB had trouble finding receivers so they had to rely on the ground game. This may have to be ER’s future because for the no huddle to be a threat you need to complete passes. That said Northview looked good and will have no trouble handling teams of ER’s caliber.
One last thing about Burns. He was off with his Colt Baseball team up until last week, and the season got moved up 2 weeks…so he has some catching up to do. He’ll be fine.
It does not matter what division Los Altos is in or what division we are in. We put them on the schedule, and they outplayed us, and got the W. We made a T-O-N of mistakes and good teams make you pay for those mistakes. We took home the L trophy. I’m as much of a Covina homer as they come but we got outplayed. No excuses. Congrats to Los Altos.
All of a sudden Covina is not a good team, all week people where saying LA is going lose and get smashed by Covina but LA wins and all of a sudden OH what division is Covina in, WOW some you haters are unreal. Stop trying to live your kids life you had your chance…like the Sapranos ITS OVER…LOL good win LA young but fiesty
@anon,
Lol!!
Really good teams play in the same division. Covina is an excellent team in their division Burns just needs to settle in, he’s a great QB.
Cal looked mediocre?
PLEASE proof read before you post!
Coach Ligma I believe
You forgot to say “get lost clown” :0)
@Anonymous
What does that matter? Covina is a very good team, regardless of what division they play in. Solid win for LA Football and coach Brown. Congratulations.
Congratulations to coach Brown and the Los Altos football team. Way to make a debut, Coach. I’ll tell you what, that team is young but they have some playmakers on both sides of the ball. I was at that game last night to see my Alma mater emerge victorious. Good luck next week! Let’s get the Wheel!
Don’t read it then. Nobody cares about your opinion…
That’s why you should listen when I tell you something.
Calm down LA what division is Covina?
Next up for Arcadia. ” Cathedral Ouch”
Hey Anon…….shcurr has to play with their jv team….BECAUSE THE VARSITY TEAM FROM ALL THE OTHER SHOOLS they recruited illegally COULDN’T AND HOPEFULLY WON’T BE ABLE TO PLAY. JAJAJAJAJAJA and go lookie there….buena park, cantwell, and montebello lost because their BEST players recruited to Schurr didn’t play for them either. Maybe cif will look at that and say they have to stay at their own schools to help THOSE guys instead. Fire the schurr staff and deny the kids and the area peoples blood prressure will go down. lmao
Monrovia lone is terrible. Coach has no idea. Great skill but William has no line coach. He guy has no clue and looks like he might pass out. Heart condition. Idk
Where are all those parents calling out coach Brown. Come on here and say you were wrong. Good job coach.
Hopefully this gets the Schurr/Montebello chatter to end on this site. It was getting way too old…
Charter Oak is a little down this year, can’t wait to see how things shake out in league. But doesn’t take anything away from Muir. They dominated the game last night, especially in the second half. Margin of victory could have been much wider than 11 points.
Since Schurr is so good at transfers, how about getting this whole pretentious program transferred out of the area? I suggest the high desert (or further) for this team that can’t even COMPETE against a mediocre Cal High group. I cannot muster the same kindness for Frank Gallardo, however, because anyone who has trouble with an Almont doormat like Alhambra needs to be banned from the sport for life.
So who is the head coach for Baldwin Park high school
Excellent Prediction for the Burbank game on you game night post.
The bank has had Monrovia’s number for 4 years, and I can imagine the “Kitties” will not want the work for another 2 seasons so that will probably be the end of that. Lot’s of excuses… New staff, young team.. there’s no crying in football.
Pacific League looks strong.. watch out.
From T. Peterson: I did get the winner right but I didn’t expect that. I didn’t think Burbank would blow them out. Good win.
İ was wrong. I did not see John Muir beating Charter Oak. Could be an interesting Pacific season.
Spartan fans don’t worry, Schurr haters relax. That was not our team out there. Our transfers will get approved this week and Spartan Pride will be back up and running. We will be back with avengence!
From the Observant one. I was very surprised after seeing how Monrovia opened it season, but not devastated entirely on the results being its first game of the new season. My first glance at the score Burbank was up 20-0 and I knew the Cats would be in trouble for the remainder of the night if they didn’t get it together on defense. I give Burbank its do respect for taking the game to the Cats and giving them all the challenges they needed as a young and developing squad. My take is also that the Cats will learn where there strengths are sooner than later because it doesn’t get any easier for the next few games ahead. I believe they will make a significant turnaround before league play starts. Monrovia has a completely new coaching staff that have to make adjustments as they see fit and the kids will have to completely buy into these adjustments if they are going to move forward in the Monrovia style. Good win Burbank…… Monrovia will be work in progress.
Looks like the PACIFIC is going to be another wild year.
I’m a schurr fan and alumni but this is exactly what they deserved, 63 points is ridiculous where was that tough gritty spartan defense we are used to? Very disappointed.
Wow! That top half of the Pacific…
Scary thing is they’re not gonna beat Covina so where does the next win come from? Speaking of Covina, SEM has got to stay competitive, they can’t get blown out! Else the seat will start warming up. Then the haters will appear
@simon
Hey man I can admit when I’m wrong. SEM put on quite possibly its worst performance… like ever! I hate to take anything away from Alhambra but SEM was just awful upfront defensively they were ok at times but gave up crucial first downs on third down. I’m not off the Gallardo bandwagon just yet. But can someone please tell me why he let so many coaches go? It was already gonna be hard enough replacing the senior class let alone replacing coaches too.
HE’LL BE HERE EVENTUALLY, HE LOVES RUNNING THAT BIG MOUTH, TOO BAD THAT BRAIN IS PEA SIZED. THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME. MONROVIA CLEARLY ISN’T ON BURRRRRBANKS LEVEL, THEY SHOULD SCHEDULE HOOVER INSTEAD
Lol why put that on medrano, no one from the ranch could match the speed that Northview had on the edge, if anything his only mistake was lining up this game in week 0.
Schurr was playing with their JV team
Medrano too worried about promoting himself to AD. Too worried about sniffing the principal’s and board members a**es. Too worried about being the house husband for his rich wife. Time for him to go.
Anyone there?
Gotta hand it to Northview, very good set of skill players and their line did a great job protecting their QB tonight. ER got some work to do.
Hey “I played for Thompson” guy what happen to you win over Alhambra and 8 win season? Maybe I know a little!
Oh no Schurr how does it feel …Lol…. 63 points not looking good …. Ok Montebello people let’s start with the excuses come on don’t keep us waiting… hahahaha… weak
So we have been hearing all these schurr people talking all year long and they lost to call 63-35? Wow, Montebello lost to a city team (Garfield ) lol. From hear on out, both schools are banned from this site! Embarrassment
