Moors Rout Keppel in Regular Season Finale

(Alhambra) – Noah Rodriguez threw two touchdown passes to Raul Cortez and Alhambra coasted to a 51-0 rout of host Keppel Friday night.Rodriguez completed 4 of 6 passes and Cortez had 3 receptions for 68 yards and the 2 scores.
The Moors’ Vito Russell opened the game with an 86-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, and Sebastian Velasco returned a punt 41 yards to set up another TD for AHS late in the second quarter.

Alhambra raced out to a 44-0 halftime lead; there was a running clock in the second half.
The Moors gained 237 yards from scrimmage while holding Mark Keppel to only 49 total yards. The Aztecs finished the 2018 season with a record of 0-10.

Alhambra finished the regular season with an overall mark of 8-2, and tied Schurr for third place in the Almont League at 3-2.
The Moors will find out on Sunday whether or not they squeezed into a Division 13 playoff berth.

Rodriguez, a freshman, has passed for 1,822 yards and 19 touchdowns (with only six interceptions) this year.
Cortez, a senior, has 931 receiving yards and 12 TD’s in 10 games. He scored an additional TD on a kickoff return against L.A. Wilson.
