Nevada, Oregon Offer Northview’s Johnson

Jamier Johnson of Northview receives his first offer from Nevada.

By Tim Peterson

(Covina) – Northview wide receiver Jamier Johnson, who just completed his sophomore year, received his first offer from Nevada he announced on Twitter. Oregon then offered Johnson on Wednesday.

“Beyond blessed to receiver my first Division 1 scholarship offer from the University of Nevada”, Johnson posted.

Johnson was a big part of the Northview offense last year catching 35 passes for 539 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had 36 total tackles and an interception while playing defensive back.

With two years remaining as a Viking, this could be the first of many offers for Johnson.

Just looked at his reel. Good looking kid, and only a Soph. Looks like a bright future is ahead!

When I got my offer, the coach recruiting me offered me the scholarship. It was a position coach. Each position coach has there area of recruiting. I’m sure it was on behalf of the head coach. But like I said, I can’t confirm if the head coach offered him directly. Also, not sure how much times have changed where the head coach needs to offer you directly for it to be a legit offer.

I can’t confirm that. But I doubt somebody would put this all over social media if it was a fake offer. Oregon just offered him today too now. It’s on the Oregon recruiting site.

Was it the head coach that offered? If so, congrats! If not, it isn’t real. Just a FYI!

This is awesome. I also believe Deshon, and Damion Thompson are going to be getting
    D-1 offers soon as well.
