Never said I was a Linemen dad of an ER player. And by the looks of it, they only fielded one team. A small one at that.

Nothing new, even when ER has a “big” line it’s small in comparison to most teams. We enjoy the regularly scheduled underdog role every season.

If you are really a dad of an ER lineman don’t you know if that is the Varsity or JV? According to the line up ER fielded two teams. All players practicing are potential Varsity players until the Varsity roster is set.

El Rancho brought their varsity linemen? Looked like their JV squad. Small guys except maybe one or two standouts. Looks like they have a lot of work to do compared to last season.

The results of these competitions are a better reflection of the state of your program than 7 On 7 results. Last summer I noted how well El Rancho fared in the big men trials compared to how soundly they were beaten in the passing tourney’s. ER started off shaky in the first few games of their season but once they qualified for the playoffs their trenchmen beat down very good and big teams from the inland empire and almost took the Dons to the promised land.
