3. Minnesota Twins Manager Rocco Baldelli is named AL Manager of the Year.

4. The San Francisco 49ers suffer their first loss of the year in a 27-24 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.

5. The Seattle Sounders beat Toronto FC 3-1 Sunday to win the MLS Cup.

6. The San Francisco Giants name former Philadelphia Phillies manager Gabe Kapler as their new manager.

7. Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers passed away at the age of 38.

8. Mike Schildt of the St. Louis Cardinals is named NL Manager of the Year.

9. If Pasadena and Muir both win Friday night they will face each other in the CIF Division 11 semi finals.

10. The Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns 123-115 to improve to 8-2 on the year.

    The Lakers’ surge toward relevance makes us wonder how this would be unfolding with Kawhi in the mix. On second thought, it’s probably better not crowding the court with another guy who wants the ball.
