(El Monte) – El Monte, which beat Jurupa Hills 22-15 Friday night in the Division 12 semi finals, is still waiting on CIF’s decision on their status for the championship game.
Adelanto and Orange Vista were involved in a bench clearing brawl in the third quarter of their semi finals game with Adelanto leading 41-0 Friday night. The game was called at that point and the teams were disqualified which would mean that El Monte was the Division 12 Champs.
But now the situation is being reviewed and an investigation is underway. Is El Monte the Champions? Will the Lions play Adelanto? Orange Vista? Everything will be decided soon.
CIFSS Assistant Commissioner Thom Simmons released a statement that said in part “We are awaiting a report from the officials involved. Once that is received a decision will be made on what happens next by the Commissioner.”

You don’t think they have been told and that someone one either team has not been removed, before that Game. LMAO! I guess nobody saw the Browns DE hit the QB from Pittsburg with a helmet!
Anyone who saw last year’s Semifinal game of EM v. Adelanto knows that Adelanto has no respect for their opponents and act like a bunch of gangsters and thugs on the football field. Their coaches condone this type of behavior and I am not surprised by the actions of the team or the result of CIF’s ruling. You reap what you sow!

Stop cheating these kids they earn it.
Many readers will assume that CIF is reviewing this thing in the interest of fairness. What they may not appreciate, however, is that CIF is reviewing this in the interest of their own revenue flow. Few sporting events under the jurisdiction of Wigod and crew produce more money than a football championship. This being the case, look for a couple of players from each team to be disqualified, which will be said to ethically cleanse the deal, and then the championship bucks can flow.
You should know white hat. Does it matter? Have you seen the film? It’s a disgrace to football Adelanto HC doesn’t deserve to anywhere near a football field.
Just FYI, the game was being officiated by a San Gabriel Valley crew.
