Bacon Takes the Reins at Pasadena

By Tim Peterson
(Pasadena) – Barry Bacon, who was the head baseball coach at Temple City for 16 years before stepping down in 2013, has taken over as the head coach at Pasadena the school confirmed Friday.

Bacon guided the Rams to the CIF Division 4 Final in 2012 where they fell to Palm Desert 4-0. Temple City won four Rio Hondo League titles under Bacon and the Rams only missed the playoffs once during his tenure.

Bacon will replace Mike Parisi who led to the Bulldogs to a 11-14 overall record and a sixth place finish in the Pacific League last year.

“I am pleased to announce that Barry Bacon will serve as Varsity Head Coach for the 2019-2020 school year. Coach Bacon has been involved in the Pasadena High School baseball program, serving as JV and Freshman Head Coach over the past two seasons,” Pasadena Principal Robert Hernandez wrote in an e mail.
